Moonage Mirrors was started in 2009 as a way to promote my work with mosaics, mirrors and painted glass.

About Me

Many years ago I studied fine art and gained a BA honours degree. Throughout the following years (alongside various jobs and raising children) I continued to draw and paint. In recent years I have been working with mixed media and textures. This developed into working with glass and mirror and I started to create mosaics using pieces of glass, ceramic and coloured paper. I also enjoy working straight onto mirror with glass paint, recreating the vibrancy of stained glass.

Wandering Ware?

In 2008 I started my own business Wandering Ware? travelling around fairs and festivals. I decided to sell other handcrafted items alongside my own. I loved the idea of providing a range of crafts from different countries but I needed to avoid trading in goods that had involved exploitation in any way. I therefore only sell goods that are fairly traded. I use wholesalers who have personal relationships with their artisans and who are registered with BAFTS.

Using a few different wholesalers enables me to provide a wide range of items that are different and unique. I have an extensive stock of crafts, musical instruments and incense from countries including India, Nepal, Thailand, Tibet, Kenya, South Africa, Mexico, Guatamala, Chile, Peru, and Indonesia.
